The Lion's Gate

A Ritual of Pure Intention, Respect & Giving: Tuesday Morning with Lynn

by Lynn Pritchard August 8th 2026

The Lion's Gate truly inspires me, as it not only celebrates our hard work but also instills a profound sense of respect for others.

The Lion's Gate is often viewed as a powerful spiritual time for setting intentions, opening the heart, releasing what no longer belongs to us, and becoming clear about the energy we want to carry forward.

But manifestation is not only about asking the Universe for more.

Sometimes it is about asking ourselves:

What kind of person am I becoming as I receive more?

To me, some of the people who may feel most connected to the energy of the Lion's Gate are those who lead with purity of intention.

They respect other people.

They respect the work, gifts, and creations of others.

They celebrate another person's success instead of trying to take from it.

They help even when there is nothing in it for them.

They give because their heart tells them it is the right thing to do.

They understand that another person's light does not diminish their own.

True abundance is not created by stepping over someone else.

It is created through integrity, gratitude, kindness, courage, and the willingness to shine while allowing others to shine beside you.

8/8 Lion's Gate Ritual

Find a quiet place and, if you have one, bring a singing bowl, tuning fork, candle, crystal, or another sacred item that feels meaningful to you.

Close your eyes and take 8 slow breaths.

With each breath, imagine releasing jealousy, resentment, competition, anger, fear, and the need to compare your journey with anyone else's.

Place your hands over your heart and say:

"I enter this Lion's Gate with pure intentions.

I release anything within me that is not aligned with love, integrity, and respect.

May I never need to dim another person's light to recognize my own.

May I respect the gifts, work, ideas, and paths of others.

May I continue to help when I am able, even when there is nothing for me to gain.

I welcome abundance that is meant for me and causes harm to no one.

I am ready to receive, grow, give, and become more aligned with my highest self."

Now write down 8 intentions.

They do not all have to be things you want to receive. Include intentions about the person you want to become.

For example:

I intend to be generous.

I intend to honor my own gifts.

I intend to respect the gifts of others.

I intend to attract abundance with integrity.

I intend to release comparison.

I intend to help where I can.

I intend to recognize the blessings already around me.

I intend to walk forward with a loving heart.

When you are finished, sound your singing bowl or tuning fork and imagine the vibration carrying those intentions outward.

End by saying:

"What is meant for me will find me.

What is meant for another belongs to them.

There is enough light for all of us.

I receive with gratitude, I give with love, and I move forward with integrity."

Happy Lion's Gate 8/8.
