Empowering Local Entrepreneurs: A Tuesday Morning with Lyn Pritchard

By Lynn Pritchard January 7th 2026

Good morning, everyone! I've been quite busy at the store recently, juggling the many tasks that keep our operations running smoothly. We are currently on the lookout for a dependable part-time team member. Ideal candidates should not only be reliable and punctual but also have a genuine interest in our work and a solid understanding of our mission and values. If you or someone you know fits this description, we would love to hear from you!

This week at Spiritual Uplifts

We have our annual vision board class this weekend. You can join us on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, and you're welcome to leave and return on a different day if you choose. The workshop will conclude at 4:00 PM on Sunday, which is also when we will be closing moving forward. Please note that our closing time on Sundays will now be at 4:00 PM.

Empowering Local Entrepreneurs: .

I know I have written about supporting small businesses before, but I think it’s good to start the new year off right.

Small businesses are essential to our towns and cities, providing unique character and supporting local economies. Their success benefits the entire community. According to business consultant Clark Howard, small businesses employ over half of the workforce in the United States, offering stability and a sense of belonging. Employees often feel more valued in small businesses, fostering loyalty and pride compared to larger corporations, where individuals can easily feel overlooked and disposable.

In small businesses, owners typically know their employees personally and make an effort to support them through challenges. This human connection builds trust and strengthens the community.

Supporting small businesses means investing in people over profits and prioritizing long-term community growth. By doing so, we help preserve the heart of our towns and ensure that work remains personal and meaningful.

Love you all Lynn
